Actor JP Reddy, or JP for short, is all set to present a compelling tale that resonates with anyone who has moved from a village to the city in pursuit of better education. The upcoming film, titled Karki, represents Tamil director Pavitran's debut in Kannada cinema. JP shares insights on the film, stating, "We delve into various engaging themes in this narrative, including caste dynamics and the fundamental right to education." Adapting to his role hasn't been a walk in the park, as JP admits, "Initially, I hesitated to take on this character when director Pavitran shared the script with me. Coming from an urban background, transforming into a local village boy required significant effort. I shed 6 kilograms through dietary adjustments and minimal exercise, and donned only four shirts sourced from Gurjari market in Shivajinagar for the entire shoot. Both my appearance and mannerisms underwent a substantial transformation. Embracing the essence of the character is essential for actors; without this commitment, attempting a role is futile. To truly inhabit a character, one must first embrace and embody it fully."
